And, no, I don't mean the marrying kind J Gather all of that additional Vitamin D from the sun this MN summer and get motivated to do more in your family, professional, and community lives, in whatever order you choose. Be engaged in events and activities, and make a difference along the way.
I've always been a strong believer in advocating for your own successes and creating your own footprint. I try to teach my twins that every day. Yes, I'm a mother of multiples and am still awake, and no it doesn't get easier (just different) J I get asked that a lot! I'm blessed to have a beautiful and healthy son and daughter. We as a family try to be quite involved in the communities we live, and the communities in which we work as well. It takes effort to be engaged, but the rewards in the end are amazing! My husband and kids joined me in June to participate in the Columbia Heights Jamboree Parade and had a wonderful time.
I truly enjoy being engaged in my community, whether it's as a Board Member on the Twin Cities North Chamber, increasing my involvement with MN Commercial Real Estate Women and Women Venture, volunteering with Feed My Starving Children and various other organizations. Working for Northeast Bank for the past 13 years has taught me so much about the importance of being engaged in your community through volunteering, and also within the organization itself where I most recently was selected to provide input for the bank's annual strategic planning. Quite an honor!
At this time I ask YOU to be engaged in your Chamber! Below is a list of opportunities:
