There seems to be a struggle that takes place as we enter the period following Thanksgiving and leading up to Christmas. From a personal standpoint I'm excited about the upcoming Christmas season for a chance to spend time with family and friends. There are so many things to be thankful for and I look forward to our family traditions.
From a business standpoint, this time of year is an opportunity to thank your customers for their support and patronage. It is also important to recognize why your business is successful - the people. Without the contributions of your staff, your business could not exist. This time of year is also a time of reflection and planning. What are your goals as a business for the upcoming year? What have you put in place to help measure those goals and how often will you do an assessment? These goals do not have to be strictly financial. Maybe you will set a goal to get out of the office and visit your business partners on a regular basis. This is always a great opportunity to learn things about your business that you may not see.
Remember to take time to set your goals for the upcoming year. Thank those that have made a significant impact on your business' success.
