Regulations

The Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce supports:

Though often well-meaning, government-imposed regulations are a hidden tax on business that limit consumer options while increasing the cost of products and services. Many businesses and industries in Minnesota are so extensively regulated as to require significant resources to be redirected to compliance efforts rather than to creating an environment that fosters innovation. These costs are passed along to consumers.

Therefore, the Twin Cities North Chamber of Commerce will hold government officials at all levels to the highest burden to:

1.       Consult with impacted businesses before implementing any new regulations.

2.       Require that new regulatory proposals survive a rigorous cost/benefit analysis.

3.       Periodically review existing regulations repealing any that donít survive the same analysis.
