The Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant (TCAAP) occupies over one-third of the entire land area in Arden Hills, or approximately 4 square miles (2,330 acres), in the northern part of the City.The federal government has deeded approximately 1600 acres of this land to the National Guard and Minnesota Army Reserves, 118 acres along Rice Creek to RamseyCounty, several acres for the City Hall and Ramsey County Public Works facilities, and the State of Minnesota.The City has made an offer to purchase the remaining 585 acres to redevelop with a mix of housing, commercial, retail, industrial, parks and open space, based on the Framework Vision that was developed for the property in 2002.
